RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY
Security Operations
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents using tools such as SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS, while leading threat hunting, root cause analysis, and overseeing vulnerability management, patching, and remediation efforts.
Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support the development and enforcement of security policies and awareness programs.
Architecture and Engineering
- Design and implement secure architectures across network, cloud, and endpoints, define security requirements for new systems, and evaluate and deploy security tools such as firewalls, DLP, IAM, SIEM, and CASB.
Incident Management
- Lead incident response and forensic investigations, maintain response plans and playbooks, and coordinate with external vendors or law enforcement when necessary.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with IT, development, and business teams to embed security into processes, act as a cybersecurity subject matter expert, and drive security awareness and culture across the organization.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive cybersecurity documentation, reporting, and KPIs by managing SOPs, policies, asset inventories, and security metrics to support visibility, compliance, and continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- (Preferred) Postgraduate studies or professional development in security or risk management.
Skills
- Deep understanding of threat landscapes, attack vectors, and defensive strategies.
- Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, and IDS/IPS tools.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments.
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including the administration of security tools and frameworks.
- Proven experience in security operations centers (SOC), GRC programs, and system hardening.
- Experience with cloud security (Azure, AWS), scripting (e.g., PowerShell), and automation tools.
