RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY
Content Strategy & Quality Oversight
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for product content optimization that will improve search rankings and conversion rates. Define standards and best practices for product titles, bullet points, descriptions, and enhanced content (A+ or rich media) to ensure consistency and quality across the catalog.
- Regularly audit the online catalog to ensure content is up-to-date, accurate, and reflective of Yes4All’s brand voice and values.
Team Leadership & Project Management
- Lead and mentor the merchandising/content team (listing content writers, graphic designers for images/A+ content, etc.), setting clear goals and workflows. Prioritize the team’s workload, from new product launches to periodic content refreshes, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Provide guidance and feedback to team members, and coordinate cross-functional efforts when developing content (e.g., liaising with product managers for correct product specs or with marketing for campaign themes).
Product Launch Content Management
- Oversee the end-to-end content creation process for new product listings. Ensure that before a product goes live, all required assets and data are prepared and meet retailer requirements (image counts/dimensions, attribute data, etc.).
- Use internal templates or marketplace upload tools (such as Amazon flat files via Seller Central) to efficiently launch products with complete and optimized content, verifying that everything (pricing, specs, imagery) is correctly reflected online by launch deadlines.
SEO and Keyword Optimization
- Direct the team in conducting thorough keyword research for each product category to inform content optimization. Ensure product titles, descriptions, and backend keywords are SEO-rich and incorporate high-value search terms while still being clear and appealing to customers.
- Continuously update content with evolving keywords or new customer search trends, and utilize Amazon SEO best practices (e.g., proper title formatting, using all available character counts, etc.) to improve organic ranking.
Enhanced Content & Visual Merchandising
- Guide the development of Enhanced Brand Content (A+ Content on Amazon) and other rich media assets. Approve layouts and copy for A+ pages that highlight product USPs and storytelling, ensuring they meet brand guidelines and boost conversion.
- Similarly, oversee the maintenance of the Amazon Brand Store and any other brand storefronts, making updates for new collections or seasonal promotions. Ensure that imagery (product photos, infographics, lifestyle shots) and videos are high resolution, correctly sized, and effectively convey product features and use-cases.
Content Audits & Continuous Improvement
- Regularly perform content audits for accuracy and completeness. This includes verifying that existing listings have correct information (dimensions, features, pricing), checking for content errors or policy flags, and benchmarking our listings against competitors for opportunities.
- Identify listings that need updates (due to changes in product or to test improved copy) and schedule the team’s efforts to refresh those. Use site analytics and heatmaps (if available) to assess how customers engage with content (e.g., are they scrolling through all images, reading A+ content) and refine content strategy accordingly.
Promotion & Event Readiness
- Coordinate with the marketing and sales teams to align content with promotions or seasonal events. For example, ensure that when Yes4All participates in a major sale event, the product listings have appropriate messaging (coupon callouts, promotional banners in images if allowed) and that any time-sensitive content updates (like price changes or special badges) are executed accurately and on schedule.
- Post-promotion, make sure any temporary content is reverted and gather learnings on what content drove higher conversion during the event.
Metrics & Reporting
- Define and track key content performance indicators, such as conversion rate improvements after content changes, average rating of content completeness, or search visibility for key products. Regularly review these KPIs and service level metrics (like content turnaround time for new launches).
- Provide reports and updates to senior management on the impact of content optimizations (e.g., “After rewriting descriptions and updating images for the home gym category, conversion rates increased by X%”). Use data to celebrate successes and to identify areas for further improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work alongside Performance Marketing (ads) and Social Media teams to ensure a cohesive customer journey. Communicate to the marketing teams what content is available or upcoming (like new product imagery or updated descriptions) so they can leverage it in ads or social posts.
- Conversely, incorporate feedback from customer service (common questions or complaints that can be addressed in content) and from performance data (if an ad highlights a feature that's converting well, ensure that feature is prominent in the listing content).
Innovation & Capability Building
- Stay informed about the latest e-commerce content capabilities and tools. For instance, keep up with new Amazon content features (like video shorts on listings, interactive Q&A, or upcoming changes to A+ modules) and evaluate their usefulness for Yes4All.
- Advocate for and implement new tools or processes that could improve content creation efficiency or quality (such as content management systems, PIMS (Product Information Management System) tools, or AI-driven content suggestions).
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, content management, or digital marketing, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role. Extensive experience with Amazon marketplace content is essential; familiarity with content management on other marketplaces (Walmart, Wayfair) or on D2C websites is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated success in improving online product content and seeing a measurable impact on business results (e.g., led a content revamp that increased conversion or traffic significantly). A portfolio or examples of past optimized listings, A+ content created, or before-and-after performance case studies would be beneficial.
- Proficiency in SEO as it applies to e-commerce (understanding of how keywords, search algorithms, and browse structure work on Amazon and similar platforms). Experience with keyword research tools specifically for Amazon (like Helium 10, Jungle Scout, etc.) and analytics tools (Amazon Brand Analytics, Google Analytics for web) is expected.
- Strong project management capabilities – experience coordinating cross-functional projects or managing a content calendar. Familiarity with project management tools (Asana, Trello, etc.) or PIM systems is a plus.
- Excellent English writing and editing skills, with an eye for persuasive yet concise copy. Able to guide others in writing with correct grammar, tone, and clarity. Proficiency in Vietnamese for effective internal communication and coordination in our Vietnam office environment.
- Technical comfort with e-commerce platforms: experienced in using Amazon Seller Central (or Vendor Central) for content uploads, handling flat file templates, and resolving listing issues. Basic HTML or content formatting skills for marketplace templates can be useful.
- Analytical mindset with ability to use Excel (including functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables) to manage and analyze product data and content performance metrics. Experience in pulling reports from Amazon (search term reports, business reports) and deriving insights is desirable.
- High degree of organization, accountability, and self-motivation. This role requires taking ownership of the entire content quality across thousands of SKUs; the ideal candidate must be proactive in identifying what needs improvement and relentless in pursuit of excellence in product presentation.
- Passion for e-commerce and the products we sell (fitness equipment, home and outdoor goods, etc.). A genuine interest in how customers shop for these items and how to best communicate value to them through content will help drive creative and effective merchandising.
