I. RESPONSIBILITY
1. Master Data Governance:
- Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures for financial master data
- Establish data standards, definitions, and processes to ensure consistency across all entities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data management practices with business needs.
2. Data Quality Management:
- Lead efforts to monitor and improve the quality of financial master data, including accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Implement data validation and cleansing processes to detect and correct data anomalies.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity across all financial systems.
3. Master Data Maintenance
- Oversee the creation, update, and deactivation of master data records, including vendor, customer, and product data.
- Ensure that all master data changes are properly documented and approved according to established protocols.
- Manage the data lifecycle to support business operations and financial reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities to enhance master data management processes and tools, driving automation and efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT to implement system enhancements, upgrades, or new data management solutions.
- Lead projects related to the integration of new systems or business acquisitions, ensuring seamless data integration.
5. Team Leadership:
- Manage a team of master data analysts, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of data accuracy, attention to detail, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure the alignment of data management activities with broader business goals.
6. Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, and external regulatory standards related to financial data.
- Prepare and present reports on data management activities, data quality metrics, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits related to financial master data.
7. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the liaison between the accounting department and other business units, ensuring that master data supports operational and strategic objectives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address data-related issues and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Provide training and support to end-users on data management policies, tools, and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, PMP) is preferred.

Experience
- At least 7-10 years of experience in data management, accounting, or finance, with a strong focus on master data governance and quality.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), data management tools, and Excel. Familiarity with data analysis and reporting software.
